For applications requiring a more secure fixing, Compound 21 can also be used to bond the bend and strip duct components together. Additional lengths of Strip Duct may be required around the socketed portion of the duct bend. Installation Guidance:

1. Prepare the duct bend: Cut a suitable standard duct bend longitudinally to create two sections that can be positioned around the existing cables.

2. Position the bend: Place the split duct bend around the installed cables, ensuring the two halves are correctly aligned.

3. Insert Strip Duct 54D: Hold the two halves together and feed the strip into the joint from one end.

4. Secure both edges: Repeat the process on the opposite side of the split bend.

5. Apply additional fixings: Use Straps Cable Fixing 10A to secure the assembled duct bend.

6. Optional bonding: Apply Compound 21 where additional bonding is required, following the relevant product instructions.
