The Flexible Duct Drill Bit Kit is a specialist duct clearance solution designed to remove blockages from underground PVC ducting during fibre optic cable and microduct installations. Developed for telecommunications engineers and fibre broadband installers, the kit provides an effective method of clearing mud, stones and general ground debris that can obstruct existing duct routes.

Designed specifically for use in PVC duct bends, the flexible drill assembly can follow 90° bends to reach and remove obstructions that would otherwise prevent cable or microduct installation. The kit uses a specially selected countersink drill bit, designed to reduce the risk of damaging cables already installed within the duct. The flexible drill piece and extension are manufactured from stranded stainless steel wire rope with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sheathing. This construction provides the flexibility required to navigate duct bends while allowing the operator to grip and guide the assembly during operation.

The kit includes a 1m flexible drill piece and a 1m extension, providing a combined nominal length of 2m. Once the blockage has been cleared, a duct rod can be passed through the newly opened route to assist with the installation of fibre optic cables or microducts. Supplied complete with a countersink drill bit, protective cap, Allen key and storage case, the kit is designed for use with a compatible battery-operated drill, which is not included.
