D-Type Hood – Die Cast – 25 Way
The D-Type Hood – Die Cast – 25 Way is a robust connector hood designed to provide reliable protection and strain relief for 25-way D-sub connectors used in industrial, telecommunications and data communications applications.
Manufactured from nickel-plated zinc die-cast, the hood offers excellent mechanical strength, durability and EMC shielding. It features a straight cable outlet with an integrated polycarbonate cable strain relief clamp, accommodating cable diameters from 3.0mm to 13.0mm to ensure secure cable retention and minimise stress on connector terminations.
Fitted with long jackscrews featuring moulded tops for optional colour coding, the hood provides quick and secure installation while supporting efficient cable identification. With an attenuation factor greater than 40dB between 30MHz and 1GHz, it delivers effective shielding for sensitive electronic and communications equipment.
