The Telenco Spiral Cable Abrasion Protector No.5 – 40mm is designed to provide effective mechanical protection for aerial fibre optic and ADSS cables exposed to friction, movement and contact with surrounding infrastructure. The spiral protector helps prevent premature cable wear caused by repeated contact with tree branches, pole hardware, cable clamp bails and pole surfaces.

Manufactured for demanding outdoor network environments, the protector is particularly suitable for use with J-hook suspension clamps and at cable contact points where movement could result in abrasion. It is also well suited to coastal and exposed locations where persistent wind can cause increased cable movement and friction.

The protector incorporates UV protection to support long-term outdoor use. Its spiral construction allows it to be installed around the cable during initial network construction or added during maintenance operations without unnecessarily complicating the installation process.
