The Telenco Air Blown Fibre Assembly (ABF) is a pre-connectorised single-mode fibre solution designed for installation through compatible microduct infrastructure. This 50m underground (UG) assembly features a compact 1.2mm nominal outer diameter, providing a lightweight solution for fibre access and telecommunications network deployment.

The smooth-sheath ABF construction uses a UV-curable acrylate resin coating with an HDPE outer sheath. The supplied specification defines a nominal cable diameter of 1.2 ± 0.3mm, providing a compact profile suited to blown fibre applications.

This single-fibre assembly is supplied in a pre-terminated LC/APC to LC/APC ferrule configuration. The protected ferrule arrangement at the blowing end enables the pre-terminated fibre to be installed through compatible microduct while reducing the requirement for field connectorisation after installation.

The LC/APC connector specification provides Grade B insertion loss performance, with a mean insertion loss of ≤0.12dB and ≤0.25dB maximum for at least 97% of connections. APC return loss is specified at ≥60dB, supporting dependable optical performance.
