The Telenco Air Blown Fibre Assembly (ABF) is a pre-connectorised single-mode fibre solution designed for installation through compatible microduct infrastructure. This 125m underground (UG) assembly combines a compact 1.2mm nominal outer diameter with a pre-terminated configuration for efficient fibre access network deployment.

The smooth-sheath ABF construction uses a UV-curable acrylate resin coating and HDPE outer sheath. The supplied datasheet specifies a nominal outer diameter of 1.2 ± 0.3mm for the one- or two-fibre construction.

This single-fibre assembly is supplied in an LC/APC to LC/APC configuration, with the blowing end prepared as an LC/APC ferrule assembly. This allows the fibre to be supplied pre-terminated while remaining suitable for air-blown installation, helping reduce the requirement for field connectorisation once deployed.

The LC/APC connector specification provides Grade B insertion loss performance, with a mean insertion loss of ≤0.12dB and a maximum of ≤0.25dB for at least 97% of connections. APC return loss is specified at ≥60dB.
