The Frame & Cover Carriageway No.3 – D400 is a heavy-duty ductile iron manhole cover and frame system designed for use in carriageways and highway environments subject to low-density traffic, including HGVs and fast or slow-moving vehicles.
Manufactured from robust ductile iron, this double triangular cover assembly delivers excellent durability, load-bearing performance and long-term reliability for demanding highway and infrastructure applications. The system incorporates a non-rock 3-point suspension design and solid flange construction for enhanced stability and secure seating under traffic loading conditions.
Finished with a protective black bitumen coating, the cover and frame offer excellent resistance to corrosion and harsh outdoor environments. Closed keyways help improve safety while reducing debris ingress, and the unit is fully Kitemark certified in compliance with BS EN124-2:2015 and HA104/09 standards.
