Frame & Cover Carriageway No.2
The Frame & Cover Carriageway No.2 – D400 is a heavy-duty ductile iron manhole cover and frame system designed for use in carriageways and highway environments subject to low-density traffic, including HGVs and fast or slow-moving vehicles.
Manufactured from durable ductile iron, this double triangular cover assembly provides excellent strength, reliability and long-term performance in demanding road and infrastructure applications. The unit features a robust non-rock 3-point suspension system and a solid flange design for improved stability and secure seating under traffic loads.
Finished with a protective black bitumen coating, the cover and frame system is engineered for durability and corrosion resistance in external environments. Closed keyways help improve safety and reduce debris ingress, while the product is fully Kitemark certified and compliant with BS EN124-2:2015 and HA104/09 standards.
Suitable for highways, carriageways, hard shoulders and vehicle parking areas, the D400-rated system provides dependable performance for utility and civil engineering infrastructure projects.
