Rack height is an obvious starting point, but usable U-space is only one part of cabinet selection. The depth of the equipment, cable bend requirements, patching, power distribution and access for installation and maintenance all need to be considered.
A cabinet that accommodates the initial equipment but leaves little room for cable routing or future additions can quickly become difficult to manage. Allowing suitable capacity from the beginning can make later network changes considerably easier.

UPTEC floor-standing network racks are designed around a robust steel structure with adjustable 19-inch uprights. The mounting position can be adjusted in 25mm increments, helping installers position equipment at the required depth.
Removable, lockable side panels improve access to the cabinet during installation and maintenance, while the locking system helps protect installed equipment.
The range is supplied with adjustable feet, with optional castors available where mobility is required. Fan options are also available, allowing the cabinet configuration to be adapted to the requirements of the installed network equipment.

Making Better Use of Limited Network Space
Not every network installation needs a full-height rack. For smaller equipment environments, a wall-mounted cabinet can keep network hardware organised and protected without occupying valuable floor space.
UPTEC wall-mounted cabinets feature a lockable glass front door, removable side panels and a solid rear panel. Top cable entry supports organised cable routing, while ventilation openings in the upper cover provide airflow through the enclosure.
Front and rear 19-inch uprights can be adjusted to assist with equipment installation, and the supplied wall-mounting bracket supports installation of the enclosure in the required position. Optional 120 x 120mm roof fans can also be fitted where required.
