TED® connection cable opening tool Ø 2.9 - 6.8mm

When deploying the fibre network, technicians must perform the optical welds to serve the subscriber. The TED Equipment® racco cable opening tool is designed to allow easy access to the optical fibres of the connection cables at the building connection points by performing a longitudinal cut. It has 5 different grooves for use on cables from 2.9 to 6.8mm in diameter. The cut is made simply by positioning the cable in the suitable range of the tool and pulling the latter. This allows an opening without damaging the fibre inside.

Small in size, the cable opening tool is ergonomic, easy to handle and takes up little space in a telecom technician's toolbox. For this purpose, it is very interesting to have this accessory because it offers more careful cuts than classic tools such as Kevlar scissors or electrician's knives.

• 5.2 to 6.0mm
• 6.0 - 6.8mm

The blades of this cable stripper are not visible, which guarantees the safety of its user while performing a fast cut.

Replacement blades are available. They allow the tool to return to its original edge when the blades begin to wear and cutting becomes difficult.
