The IANOS® Transition Module converts cables from the MTP® backbone to LC or SC simplex connectivity at the front of the module so that patch cords can be connected to nearby active equipment. Typically used for lower data rates such as 1G, 10G, or 16G, the Transition Module allows users to upgrade their LC links in the future by simply replacing the Transition Module with a Converter or Patch Module MTP®.
